Pearl River is 2129 kilometers longa and is the fourth longest river in China. It is named after the “Pearl Stone in the Sea”. There are 11 bridges and 1 tunnel along the Pearl River, including Renmin Bridge, Haizhu Bridge, Haiyin Bridge, Luoxi Bridge, Zhujiang Bridge, Guangzhou Bridge, and the newly built Jiafang Bridge, Jiangwan Bridge, Huanan Bridge, Hedong Bridge, Liede Bridge, and Zhujiang Tunnel, connecting the southern side and northern side of the river as well as Fangcun District. From west to east along the Pearl River, you can see many cultural sites and historic relics. The “Pearl River Corridor” looks beautiful both in the daytime under the blue sky and bright sunshine and in the nighttime under the resplendent lightings on both banks. If you have enough time and efforts, you may also walk along the Pearl River to see the historic side and trendy side of Guangzhou City. You will certainly be impressed by the culture and customs in Guangzhou.
